About the event
Learn the traditional art of Barn Quilt painting in this hands-on workshop inspired by the historic quilt patterns found on barns throughout rural America. In this class, participants will choose their own quilt block design and learn the step-by-step process of transferring, mapping, taping, and painting their pattern onto a wooden panel using traditional barn quilt techniques.
We’ll go over color placement, line work, measuring, and layout methods to help create crisp geometric designs while still allowing plenty of room for personal creativity and color choices. This class is beginner-friendly and no prior painting experience is needed.
Participants may choose between creating either:
A 2ft x 2ft Barn Quilt
or
A large 4ft x 4ft Barn Quilt ( Please make sure to bring a vehicle that will fit this size)
